Friday - Psalm 33 – There is No god Like Our God

E
veryone owes God His due praise.  However, when God's children praise Him, it is especially fitting (Psalm 33:1).  God is worthy of infinite praise.  He is worthy of intense praise.  His words are mighty and His character is flawless.  Everywhere we look we can find His goodness on display.  So, we should be so careful to give Him credit for every good thing which we discover.  Magnify His name. Declare His incredible greatness passionately and constantly.

I especially love Psalm 33:3.  Maybe such words don't fit everyone's personality, cultural or preference in worship style, but obviously the author of this Psalm under the leadership of the Spirit wanted to exhort us all to praise God with appropriate exuberance and enthusiasm.  He is worthy of all of the grand descriptions and grandiloquent orotundity that we can muster... and then some.  His majesty is transcendent.  His perfection is unrivaled.  He deserves our best intellectual efforts.  It is proper to expend much energy and effort in preparing to worship Him worthily.  Crank up the volume and adore Him with gusto.  Love Him with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:30).  He deserves the very best.
