Monday, Read Genesis 1 - God Made Everything

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.... and God saw everything that He had made, and, behold, it was very good.  And the evening and the morning were the sixth day" (Genesis 1:1& 31).
Wow! It's only Friday (that very first Friday) and the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost have finished making everything that we still look upon some 6000 years later. All of the matter and energy; all of the laws of physics and chemistry; all of the various life forms etc., it was all completed.
He did it in six literal days; six twenty-four hour periods, each one with an evening and morning. He even made the plants on Tuesday and waited until Wednesday to make the sun... evidently to disprove the theories of those who want to force His simple creation week into some kind of modern "scientific" theistic-evolutionary model.
It's really not complicated. If we can't take God's sacred written revelations as truth when it comes to our origin, how can we accept them for the present or the future? If He didn't tell us the truth about the foundation of things, could we trust Him with the rest?

"Let God be true and every man a liar!" (Romans 3:4). As we read together for the next five years... let the Bible hold its rightful place above every other form and source of knowledge.  Everything that He has made is good ...  especially His Word!
